Time to re-import Christmas music into i-tunes!

This morning was the first Sunday of advent. We did Hanging of the Greens, which I directed 6 families in each service to walk down and decorate the church, so to speak. One family had the advent wreath, one lit the candle, one had greens, one had the Christmas ornament, one with the Christmas star, and one with the Christmas bells (an 5-note e flat triad of bells to be exact - thank goodness I found the right notes when I looked last night for them!)

It was a little like being a wedding coordinator, with me in the back giving directions on how to do their roles, and then telling them when to go. I will say, I am very happy I'm not a wedding coordinator. It all went off without a hitch, but it sure was stressful!

We sang Christmas songs and it really put me in the right place to finally be okay with it being Christmas season. I was not ready to listen to Christmas music a few days ago! I am very picky about Christmas music and when I'm ready to listen to it. I have been working with Christmas music since late September too, so I have really had to tune it out haha.

We are excited to decorate for Christmas! I will be doing the majority since Madison is in full on study mode now, but he will help me with the stuff I can't reach and such.

This Sunday night is the big Christmas concert, so I will be completely consumed with that this week.

Happy advent week 1!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

It has been a great year. I am thankful for so many things!

Madison, Family, Friends, our quiet house, our puppy, my job that provides necessities, and good health.

Here's to another good year! For the first time in 24 years, my sister and I spent the first thanksgiving apart! This year, we are at the Taylors for Thanksgiving and with my family for Christmas. This thanksgiving was great, as every other one has been. I'm just sitting upstairs stuffed out of my mind with wonderful, home-cooked food cooked by my mother-in-law.

We will be here until Saturday, then going back to Oxford to work on Sunday. Madison is gearing up for exams, and I'm gearing up for our big concert on December 6. It keeps us both very busy!

I am really looking forward to actually being able to do something other than work and attempt at keeping up the house! I am so looking forward to doing crafts and other projects that I have been wanting to do but too busy to do! I am thankful for a little lull after December 6 is over!!! I have been at work more than home most of the time! I am looking forward to Christmastime. We will be going up to Grand Rapids the day after Christmas to spend time with family!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for all you guys!

My sister is coming to visit and Thanksgiving in Brookhaven is just 1 week away! I have so many exciting things to look forward to.
Life has been filled with drama here lately, but I'm pulling through and keeping my chin high. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way and not listen to the negativity & criticism thrown at you. This is not coming from home at all. Home life is wonderful.
Madison is starting to get very busy with school. He will be done with his 3rd semester of school soon! Then just 3 after that! That's hard to believe.
Well, time to go clean. My days have been so long here lately.
